The Orange Lemon House is a compact design house designed by Daniel Moreno Flores. This house was built within the time period of two months within the 700 square feet area. This was built quickly as owners wanted to shift from rental apartment into their own house. And use those never ending rental fees in the improvement of their own place.
Before coming to the conclusion of building the Orange Lemon House owners searched for the container houses but they felt they will need reconstruction too much for the kind of space and interior they wanted and its sense of reuse would be wasted by this. As this house was made to be an affordable one, many designing startegies were kept in mind while designing it. Its constructive system was structured in such a way that it would take less time to built.
The basic foundation was built with the remains of rods quickly. The Trusses that were used in the modulation of house were 7.2 meters long, so to reduce the execution cost and recieve the the industrial plates they were distributed in every 1.20m x 2.40m in height.
Many meetings were held that created the sense of kinship, and for the progress of project it was decided to use the Radiata Pinewood for the secondary structure and the closing of the house in the interior of the house as well. It also made the comforatble feeling in the interior spaces.
The habitable spaces were constructed in such a way that it would have better contact with the exteriors. And the remaining area was parted in blocks to allow the plant growth in that area. The design was made in a way that future extension of house can be made possible.
The shape of the house is defined by the diagonal trusses and the wooden diagonals used that structured the house crosswise. All these resulted into the compact, comfortable and cozy house to live in and will allow them to accept new challenges.
