Polyethylene is created by mixing an isocyanate with a polyol blend, They are mixed to form a stiff cellular foam matrix. It creates a lightweight polymer that works very well as an installation material.

Polyethylene has a high thermal resistance rating and the lowest thermal conductivity. If you use this type of installation, your building will be energy efficient and comfortable. 

What Kind of Material to Use in rolling door

Polystyrene is a polymer that is made of monomer styrene which is more commonly known as styrofoam. When used as door insulation, it is glued onto the front and the back of the doors inside the panel. It last longer than Polyethylene because it maintains it’s shape longer and does not degrade as easily.  However, it does not fit as well into the end corners of the individual panels and this can create air leaks. This may decrease the R-value for the door. 


Overall, most people think polyethylene is the better option although it is a bit more expensive. Be sure to ask for a closed-cell polyethylene, which will not degrade as quickly as the regular stuff.
